One man is dead after a Semi Truck Crash in Boone County, Indiana last week. The Auto Accident happened on United States Interstate 65 and caused the southbound lanes to be closed for hours. It is not yet known if any of the injuries will result in Workers Compensation issues.
Indiana investigators say the deadly truck accident started when a semi flipped on Interstate 65 near the Lebanon exit. That caused traffic to build up which reportedly led to a second tractor trailer hitting a third semi in the back. That second semi burst into flames, and its driver was killed.
Fatigue is suspected as a factor in the vehicle collision, and it often is the cause of truck crashes. The website, www.saferoads.org, notes the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration found about 750 people are killed and 20,000 are hurt every year due to fatigued commercial vehicle drivers.
