A NINE YEAR OLD BOY DIES IN TRAGIC GOLF CART ACCIDENT IN SPENCER, OWEN COUNTY INDIANA
A nine-year-old Spencer boy was killed in a tragic accident just north of Bloomington, Indiana, when the golf cart he was operating turned over and pinned him underneath. Sheriff's officers from the Owen County Sheriff's Department indicated that the boy was riding alone in the cart on Thursday afternoon in woods near his Spencer, Indiana home (Spencer is approx. 15 mi. northwest of Bloomington, Indiana).
Spencer County Sheriff's indicated that the boy's father went looking for him after he failed to return to his home. The father found his son pinned under the golf cart. Attempts by the father and a neighbor to revive the boy until emergency workers arrived were unsuccessful.
